FOUR CAPABILITIES.
ONE INTEGRATED PRACTICE.
The carbon market has the capital, the frameworks, and the political will. What it lacks is anyone who can carry a project across all of them. Vera Meridian develops the infrastructure, structures the carbon, designs the programmes, and originates the pipeline — so projects that should get built actually do.
THE MARKET IS READY. THE PIECES DON'T YET CONNECT.
Compliance carbon markets are projected to grow from roughly $130 billion today to over $230 billion by 2030, and demand for credits could rise more than fifteenfold by the end of the decade. More than ninety countries have signed Article 6 cooperation agreements. The capital, the frameworks, and the political will are all in place.
What's missing is coordination. Development, finance, methodology, and procurement are almost always held by different parties who never sit at the same table — so projects stall in the gaps between them. The hardest part of this market isn't any single discipline. It's holding all of them at once.
That's the entire reason Vera Meridian exists. We don't advise on the gap from the outside — we operate inside it.
Project Development
Most developers can build, but stall the moment carbon enters the picture — and most carbon specialists have never built anything. We originate and develop renewable energy, water, and agrivoltaic infrastructure across the Caribbean and Africa, and carry each project through its full life: site, feasibility, financing, construction, and carbon monetisation. For our clients, that means a single partner accountable from first principle to final credit — and a project whose economics work because carbon was built in from day one, not bolted on at the end.
EXPLORE PROJECT DEVELOPMENT →Market Architecture
In many countries the demand and the political will exist, but there is no pipeline for capital to flow into — no methodology, no structure, no bankable projects to fund. We work with host governments and buyer programmes to design carbon market systems before the projects exist, starting from what communities actually need and working backward to the structure that finances it. The benefit is a market where one didn't exist: a government turns ambition into fundable projects, and a buyer gains access to supply built to its standards.
EXPLORE MARKET ARCHITECTURE →Project Origination
Procurement windows are open and sovereign capital is allocated — yet capable developers sit on the sidelines, not because their projects don't qualify, but because the Article 6 pathway is too complex to navigate alone. We find those developers, qualify their projects against real buyer requirements, and connect them to programmes they could never reach independently. They get access to sovereign capital; the buyers get the quality pipeline their windows depend on.
EXPLORE PROJECT ORIGINATION →Article 6 Advisory
Article 6 is where most projects quietly stall — the methodology, the ITMO structuring, the corresponding adjustments, the MRV, the bilateral frameworks. It's genuinely hard, and getting it wrong is expensive. The same technical expertise that runs through everything we do is available on its own: whether you're a government approaching Article 6 readiness, a utility structuring a carbon portfolio, or a developer testing procurement eligibility, we can engage at any point. The benefit is simple — the part most likely to sink your project becomes the part you no longer have to fear.
EXPLORE ARTICLE 6 ADVISORY →COORDINATION IS THE PRODUCT.
Any one of these capabilities has value on its own. Held together, they compound. When the same firm develops the project and structures its carbon, the financing reflects reality, the methodology fits the build, and nothing is lost in translation between parties who were never aligned to begin with.
That's the difference between a project that's advised on and a project that gets built.
Active development across three regions — CARICOM, West Africa, and Southern Africa.
Projects spanning solar, water, and agrivoltaics.
Carbon structured into every project from inception — never retrofitted.
CONSULTING ACROSS ALL FOUR DISCIPLINES
Each capability is available as a standalone engagement. Whether you represent a government navigating Article 6 readiness, a utility structuring a carbon portfolio, or a developer evaluating procurement eligibility — tell us where you are in the process, and we'll tell you exactly how we can help.
